Alessandro Del Piero: Juventus Will Have A Great Season

After Juventus midfielder Momo Sissoko claimed that the bianconeri are not inferior to any clubs in Serie A, captain Alessandro Del Piero has echoed that statement by claiming the Turin-based outfit will have a "great year".

"We're working with great enthusiasm," he was quoted as saying by the Corriere dello Sport at Pinzolo, where the team have begun their pre-season training.

"These days are important. The coach, staff, and some team-mates are all new, but everything is going well and we hope it continues this way, because we want to win."

He then responded to one of the new members of the squad, Diego, who recently claimed Del Piero was a "football genius".

"I thank him. I am sure we will do well on the field and this will be a great year, much better than the last," he concluded.

The World Cup winner managed 20 goals in all competitions last season for the Bianconeri.
