Inter rule out Chelsea duo

The Serie A champions have been strongly linked with the pair as boss Jose Mourinholooks for a reunion with his former Porto colleagues, while he also worked with Carvalho at Stamford Bridge.

But Moratti does not believe that Inter require the twosome and appears to have ruled out a move for the players, who are both in their thirties.

"Deco and Carvalho? They are two champions but at this time I don't feel there's a need to buy them," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Deco and Carvalho's futures remain uncertain and new Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has hinted that the Portugal internationals may be allowed to leave.

He said: "Carvalho and Deco are Chelsea players.

"If in the future a player wants to go they have to speak with the club and we take the right decision for the player and for us."
